Um die Künstlerresidenz auch auf visueller Ebene mit der Stadt Wiltz in einen Dialog zu bringen, setzen wir auf eine starke Bildsprache: Die Arbeiten der Künstler:innen werden fotografischen Werken aus Wiltz gegenübergestellt, um einen visuellen Austausch zu schaffen.
Jedes Jahr arbeitet DIALOGUE mit einem:r Fotograf:in zusammen, um Wiltz durch eine neue Perspektive einzufangen. 2025 eröffnet die talentierte luxemburgische Fotografin Marie Romanova, die ursprünglich aus Usbekistan stammt, diesen Dialog mit ihren Aufnahmen, welche im Laufe des Jahres mit den Künstlerarbeiten veröffentlicht werden.
Ein erster Einblick erwartete die Besucher:innen bei der Residenzeröffnung am Freitag dem 31. Januar, bei der Marie ihre Arbeiten von Wiltz mit historischen Fotografien von Pol Aschman, Marcel Schroeder, und Théo Mey in Austausch setzte. Während Maries fotografische Arbeiten nun in den Dialog mit den Werken der Künstler:innen treten, werden diese Aufnahmen noch für einige Monate im Haus präsent sein und den Aufenthalt der ersten Künstler:innen der Residenz begleiten.

To bring the artist residency into dialogue with the city of Wiltz on a visual level, we employ a powerful image language: the artists' works will be juxtaposed with photographic pieces from Wiltz, fostering a vibrant exchange.
Each year, DIALOGUE collaborates with a photographer to reveal Wiltz through a unique lens. In 2025, the talented Luxembourgish photographer Marie Romanova, originally from Uzbekistan, will initiate this dialogue with her images, which will be published throughout the year alongside the artists' works.
A first glimpse awaited the visitors at the residency opening on Friday, January 31, where Marie set her works from Wiltz in dialogue with historical photographs by Pol Aschman, Marcel Schroeder, and Théo Mey. While Marie’s photographic works now engage in a dialogue with the artists’ pieces, these images will remain present in the house for several months, accompanying the stay of the residency’s first artists.
